Abstract: For a long time, college English translation teaching has focused on teaching the knowledge of text-language transformation, but in fact, text is not the only modal for language. Under the increasingly rich and complex context of media forms and methods, it is necessary for translation teaching research to explore the construction and transformation of meanings of other modal symbols in the process of translation. The rapid development of modern information technology makes media forms more diversified. Multi-modal teaching theory came into being. It takes multimedia equipment as the carrier in the teaching process to fully mobilize students' cognition and actively participate in the language teaching, and enhance their learning initiative and enthusiasm. Under the background of media turn and on the basis of multi-modal semiotics, this study attempts to construct a multi-modal translation teaching mode and apply it to college English teaching practice. Teaching experiments show that the multi-modal translation teaching mode can not only improve students' translation ability, but also fully mobilize their initiative in learning, help students find self-confidence through course learning, and then improve their interpersonal and cooperative abilities. The new translation teaching mode in multi-modal context is helpful to make up for the shortcomings of the traditional teaching mode of single text transferring. Teachers should reform the traditional teaching concept, make full use of modern educational information technology, take students as the center, pay attention to cultivating students' practical English application ability, cross-cultural academic communication ability and cultural accomplishment, and form a new multi-modal teaching mode combining traditional teaching, multimedia teaching and network teaching.

Abstract: The article examines the production of books in the islands in the eastern Mediterranean basin in the thirteenth-sixteenth centuries, based on the information contained in the colophons written by the manuscript copyists at the conclusion of their work. The copyists' mention - at times - of the place of the copying teaches of the deployment of the Jewish communities in this region. Books were produced even in the small Jewish communities on these islands, and not only in the relatively large community on Crete. Twenty-nine manuscripts have survived from these locations. This material teaches of the presence of the demand by an educated Jewish population for books in diverse fields, including philosophy, Bible commentary, homiletical literature, medicine, and Kabbalah. Thanks to the efforts of these copyists, classical Jewish writings were preserved for future generations. These works will continue to provide a fertile field of research for scholars, due to their contents and to their being the subject of scholarly research as manuscripts. The colophons that were written by copyists reveal the locations where they received the original texts to be. Someone who copied a book for his personal use, in contrast, did not feel the need to supply such information. Professional copyists were paid for their services; although this is not stated explicitly in the colophons presented in the article, but in many instances we hear of this. Some copyists had to make major efforts in order to obtain the source for their copying, and at times they traveled far and wide for this purpose. The article illustrates the existence of Jewish communities in the small islands around Greece, especially in the thirteenth-sixteenth centuries. Most of the books were copied for the scribe's own use, thereby teaching of the intellectual level of the book readership. The colophons are the "identity card" of the copyist, and also contain the name of the book and details about the author. Colophons virtually disappeared after the invention of the printing press, to be replaced by title pages in printed works.

Abstract: Gender-based violence is a form of violence directed at individuals or groups of people sexually that leads to or may result in physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering of women, including threats of such acts, coercion or inhumanity. deprivation of a legal obligation, whether in public or in private. The main purpose of the study is gender-based violence in the performance of female students at Gesuba Primary School, administrative town of Gesuba, Wolaita area. The research was conducted using both a high-quality and quantitative research method. Although, 39 respondents in the study were selected using probability sampling techniques. Also, the questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection tools. The results of these findings revealed that there was low gender-based violence against female students who did not keep time, had unhealthy relationships with students, added to alcohol, failure to be accountable and committed, absenteeism that focused on personal gain rather than public service. as well as the miner's minimalist style of dress. Although, the lack of good gender equality affected the quality of education, the health relationship between the school community and the acceptance (respect) of students in the community. However, gender-based violence against female students in academic achievement can be reduced if the family puts their children first and an adequate budget allocated to the government to promote gender inequality in school and community and if there is a gender-based education in school from elementary class to high school. And the government should focus on promoting female students in school as it does in the community. In general, mentioning this study benefits the school community and provides information to those who would like to do further studies on issues related to the professional writing code of that inequality and these organizations represent equality for women.

Abstract: Pedagogy as an educational science, focuses its study on the methods to develop the pedagogical act with the purpose of generating theory and programs that guide the educator towards the transformations that education requires to respond to the society that one wishes to build. In this conjuncture moment that the country is experiencing, the pedagogical actions of the university teacher have been questioned and debated by some authors in various settings and contexts In the university environment, a discourse oriented by educational and pedagogical currents tending to the reproduction and perpetuation of knowledge has been evidenced, tight when explaining, describing, and interpreting, as expressed by: Bonilla-Molina, Candelas, Damiani and Bolívar and Freire. The Bolivarian University of Venezuela (UBV) has not escaped from this context. Therefore we are located in this, as a research scenario with the intention of constructing theoretical-critical references on the pedagogical discourse of the educator, oriented towards an emancipatory praxis. Opting for the interpretive paradigm, since it emphasizes the understanding and interpretation of the pedagogical discourse from the meanings of the subjects involved, studying their beliefs, intentions, motivations, among others, not directly observable, nor susceptible to experimentation. For this, the necessary theorization oriented to the resizing of pedagogical praxis, towards emancipation, was relevant to us, in such a way that substantive theory was constructed, the central categories constructed, generated or emerging from the interpretation and understanding of the meanings emerged from the light of the categories and subcategories, after a long process called, selective coding. Likewise, the cogestive category is incorporated, referring to: Raising awareness, undertaking, contextualizing and constructing a counter-discourse as praxis and a praxis as counter-discourse.

Abstract: It is a well-known fact that education and training are essential for disaster management. However, citizens and companies need to engage in training in addition to their main duties, and there are some situations in which they only conduct statutory fire drills twice a year, which is the minimum required by the Fire Service Act. In this study, we developed a method to quantitative evaluation of individual disaster management as a criterion for indicating the desirable level of education and training (Disaster Management Levelling System: DMLS) and to numerically indicate the achievement target. An ABC evaluation was conducted using the following six contents: 1) Occupational evaluation, 2) Education and training evaluation, 3) Practical evaluation, 4) Experience of Disaster response as work, 5) Experience as a disaster response volunteer, and 6) Hobby evaluation. For quantification, three patterns were examined: pattern 1; Added one point at each ABC rating, pattern 2; Added power of two at each ABC rating, and pattern 3; Added power of three at each ABC rating. The pattern of added power of three at each ABC rating was the most appropriate for the numerical expression. The DMLS is expected not only to set clear goals for disaster prevention education, but also to motivate individuals to engage in education and training through quantitative visualization of educational outcomes.

Abstract: How to objectively understand the Confucian classics represented by the Analects is an important issue that needs serious study in the Chinese academic circle and also an unavoidable problem in Eastern and Western communication. Is it possible to use an axiomatic method to establish an objectified system of propositions for the Analects and find a clarified logic system in the Confucian thought reflected in the Analects as in Spizona’s The Ethics? The axiomatic method is a mathematical and philosophical method, which is originally used in Euclid geometry. It is to deduce various meaningful propositions (or theorems) on the basis of a few definitions, basic assumptions and axioms, and they can in general form a deductive system. Clarified concepts and strict logic are the advantages of the axiomatic approach which help it gradually infiltrate into disciplines other than mathematics. By reviewing Euclid's Geometry and the axiomatic approach and their evolution, We expound the systematic construct of the axiomatic interpretation of the Analects, and adopt an axiomatic approach to establish a deductive system built upon the fundamentals of the Analects. That is, after giving some definitions and making some basic assumptions, we formulate some axioms, and prove the series of propositions contained in the Analects by reasoning. In this way, the logical system of Confucius’ thought implied in the Analects can be brought to light. It is concluded that the inherent logic and thoughts of Confucius can be systematized and there is a logic system in the Analects.
